Biolog Tagging: Are you In or Out?

Employee.png

As an employee, you have most likely had the experience of logging in and out of a biometric device as you arrive at and leave from work every day. In doing so, you have most likely had to change the tagging of your log to an "In" or an "Out" depending on whether you are going, well, in, or out. But what if you opted never to change the tagging of your log? What if one day, while you are rushing into the office to beat a tardy mark you absent mindedly forget to check the device if the log was tagged as in or out? Are you in? or, are you out?

Let's take a look at a few simple scenarios below.

Example 1:

First log in was tagged as an IN: 8:00 AM
Last log out was tagged as an OUT: 5:00 PM

Logs: 8:00 AM IN and 5:00 PM OUT
Resolution Center: No attendance discrepancies

Example 2:

Resolution Center: No attendance discrepancies

Example 3:

Resolution Center: NO LOGS

How to resolve: File for a COA with a log in at 8:00 AM.
