If the supervisor or manager is unavailable to approve applications for an extended period of time, the filed applications of those directly reporting to him/her do not necessarily have to be left hanging! Approvals can be passed on to another supervisor or manager to ensure that the employees’ applications will be reviewed and eventually approved or rejected.
To do this, the original approver should follow the steps shown below:
1. Toggle the “Fill In” option found in the Approval Center section of the dashboard, then select the employee to whom the approvals will be passed.
2. Click Save. A notification message will appear if the Fill In was successful.
When the new approver logs into Sprout HR using his account, all applications under the Pending Approvals section with “➜” are those that are passed on to him.
To get passed approvals back, turn the “Fill In” option Off.
