# Command Centre: Invite a new hire who came from Teamtailor

Someone marked **Hired** in Teamtailor arrives on your onboarding list already created — but **no invite has been sent**. Nothing reaches the new hire until you send one, so these don't move on their own.

1. You're emailed when one arrives, with a link straight to the record. It's the only email onboarding sends to an admin rather than to a new hire. The record is created whether or not that email reaches you, and it also shows on your **To-Dos** as an invite not yet sent.

2. Open the record. **First name**, **Last name**, **Email address** and **Employment start date** arrive pre-filled from Teamtailor, and all of them stay editable — check them rather than assuming.
3. Set the **Department** and pick the **checklist template**. Department may already be filled in, if their Teamtailor is set up to send it — otherwise you choose it, and either way it's required before you can send. The **checklist template** never comes from Teamtailor, so that one is always yours to pick.
4. Choose **Send invite**. From here it's identical to a new hire you created yourself.
