# Command Centre: Track onboarding progress

The Onboarding page in Command Centre shows how your new hires are progressing, from overall metrics like overdue and at-risk counts to each person's outstanding items. This article walks you through reading the metrics, filtering by status, and checking where a new hire stands.

1. On **Onboarding**, the **Key metrics** tiles across the top show total in onboarding, document completion, average time to activate, activated, overdue and at risk — so you can see how many new hires got their requirements in before their start date, how long completing them takes, and how long invite-to-activation runs.

2. Below the tiles, the **Pipeline** bar breaks your new hires down by status — selecting from it filters the table underneath. The table has its own search and filters too.

3. Use the **Source** column to see where a record came from — **Teamtailor** if it came across from your applicant tracking system, **Sprout** if someone created it here. Both follow the same steps from then on.

4. Open any new hire to see where things stand on their record.
5. **Documents** counts what they still owe you.
6. **HR details** counts what you still owe.

The two move independently, so it's the quickest read on whether you're waiting on them or on yourself.

For what each status means, see **Status Reference** below.

**What each metric means**

- **Total in onboarding** — New hires currently in the onboarding stage (in progress, not yet activated).
- **Document completion** — Percentage of new hires 100% verified before their start date, with the average days to completion.
- **Avg time to activate** — Average days from invite sent to activation in Sprout HR.
- **Activated** — New hires activated into Sprout HR, shown as a percentage of all invited in the same month.
- **Overdue** — New hires past their start date and not yet activated.
- **At risk** — New hires starting in less than 3 days with their checklist less than 80% complete.
