Here's how you can make changes on your Sprout HR Backend Policies

It's natural for business needs to evolve, and we're here to help you update your HR policies accordingly! If you need to make changes to your existing backend policies in Sprout HR (like overtime or computation settings),  the process is simple and structured.

What You Need to Do

To officially modify any of your existing backend policies, you just need to send us a formal request:

  • Submit a Change Request Form (CRF): This form is the key. It allows you to clearly outline exactly which policy needs changing and what the new settings should be. Once you submit the CRF, our team will handle the implementation!

A Quick Heads-Up on Timing (Date Tagging)

It's important to know that Sprout HR uses date tagging for all policies. This means:

  • The policy modifications you request will only take effect for future transactions. They are effective moving forward only.

  • The changes will not retroactively apply to any past records or transactions. For instance, if you change an overtime policy today, any overtime filed last month will still follow the old rule.

If you'd like a deeper dive into this feature, we highly recommend checking out our KB article on Date Tagging: Company Policy.
