# How to Manage Previous Days' Schedule Adjustments when "Enhanced Date Tagging of Schedule" is Enabled

### **Overview**

When the **Enhanced Date Tagging of Schedule** setting is enabled in Sprout HR, managers and admins may experience restrictions when attempting to view or apply backdated schedule adjustments directly through **My Team** \> **Manager Schedule** or **Work Schedule**.

This article explains how this setting impacts schedule adjustments and provides alternative methods to update schedules for past dates.

### **Cause**

The **Enhanced Date Tagging of Schedule** feature restricts retroactively modifying or tagging work schedules directly from the *My Team / Work Schedule* calendar view once attendance logs and date tags have been established. This safeguard prevents accidental overrides of finalized logs and schedule lockouts.

### **Alternative Solutions for Past Schedule Adjustments**

Even when direct backdating is restricted under the *My Team* tab, you can process past schedule adjustments through either of the following standard channels:

##### **Option 1: Employee Self-Service (Individual Request)**

Employees can file a retroactive schedule adjustment request through their portal for manager approval:

1. Go to **My Stuff** \> **My Requests**.
2. Select **Schedule Adjustment**.
3. Select the past date(s), input the correct shift schedule, and submit.
4. Once submitted, the designated manager can approve the request to reflect the updated schedule.

##### **Option 2: Mass Upload (Bulk Adjustment by Admin/Manager)**

If adjustments are required for multiple employees or historical date ranges:

1. Go to **Company** / **Administrator Tools** \> **Uploads** \> **Schedule Adjustment**.
2. Download the official **Schedule Adjustment Template**.
3. Input the **Employee IDs**, affected **Dates**, and target **Shift Schedules**.
4. Save the file and upload it back to the platform.

### **Submitting a Feature Enhancement Request**
