[Other Policies](https://guide.sprout.ph/sprout-hr?hsLang=en#other-policies) # How to Manually Add or Deduct Leave Credits Most administrators may find the need at some point to manually add and deduct leave credits from their employees. There are two ways to do this on Sprout HR. The first way can be done individually on each employee profile. The second way is to adjust for many employees via the Leave Types and Policies under the Maintenance tab. Let's get to know each option better here. **Adding via Employee Profile**   1\. On the concerned employee's profile, scroll down and click the Leave Plans and Usage tab. Input the amount accordingly. Use a positive integer to add leave credits and a negative integer to deduct leave credits. You will need to add a “+” or “-“ sign before the amount to indicate this. Then put in the reason for the overriding in the next field (at the moment, this field does not recognize apostrophe ('), so please avoid using it to proceed). Before you edit, please note that t**here is a big difference between using this versus adding the credit on the employee profile**. **This is a very crucial difference**. When you import credits,this will **replacethe current credits** and **NOT** simply add nor deduct. For example, **if there are currently 10 leaves on the Excel template for the employee and you would like to add 5 more credits, please input 15 and not 5.**   Be careful **not to change** the contents of columns A to D to avoid making changes to the incorrect profile. When done editing the template, remember to save the file. 7\.
