How to Unlock Sprout Payroll for an Admin User

 

 

There will be times that you will accidentally be locked out of your Sprout Payroll especially if you entered the wrong password for consecutive times. 

If ever the account of the admin user has been locked, here’s what to do:
 
 There are two ways in which the Admin User can unlock the account in Sprout Payroll:

1. Check whether there are other Admin with full access to unlock on behalf of the user. 

Once checked, simply go to "User" Access Tab. Check their Role if “Super Admin”, they should've full access to be able to unlock your account

Ask the other Super Admin to click "Send a reset password link to the employee to unlock" the account

The locked user will receive an email, make sure that the link to be clicked is the recent one once you have already requested a reset password previously. Click the link sent to your email



Once you have successfully changed your password, it will prompt on your screen.

 

2. However, if all Admin users have been locked in Sprout Payroll

You need to fill out the Change Request Form and submit it in order to process this request via the back end. 

To prevent the account from being locked, click "Having trouble logging in".
