Stay on top of approvals, wherever you are. Through the Sprout Mobile App, you can approve, resend, or reject employee My Requests on the go. Stay updated and keep things moving, right from your phone.
Accessing the Approval Center
On the home screen of the Sprout Mobile App, you’ll find the Approval Center widget. This widget is only visible to users with a Manager or Admin Dashboard Type, as they have access to approve employee requests.
How the Approval Center Works
When your direct reports submit a My Request, you’ll receive a push notification on your device (ensure notifications are enabled for the Sprout Mobile App in your device settings).
You’ll also see these alerts in the Notifications page as part of your in-app notifications.
Likewise, your direct reports will receive notifications in the same way whenever you take action on their requests.
The Approval Center widget displays a badge counter, showing the number of pending requests that require your action.
Actions You Can Take on a Request
When reviewing a request, you have three options:
- Approve – Approves and finalizes the employee’s request.
- Resend – Returns the request to the employee if something needs clarification or correction.
- Reject – Declines the request.
Note: For both Resend and Reject, you will be required to provide a Reason to help the requestor understand the action taken.
From the actions above, here are the different ways you can take action on a request:
- Approve: Swipe the application to the right, or tap the Approve button on the approval card.
- Reject: Swipe the application to the left, or tap the Reject button on the approval card.
- Resend: Tap the Resend button on the approval card to return the request to the employee.
To view the full details of a request, simply tap the application card. From the details page, you can also Approve, Resend, or Reject the request.
Approval Flows
Approval flows, such as Sequential and Parallel, are fully supported in the Approval Center on Mobile, ensuring that whatever is configured on the Web is also reflected and followed in the Sprout Mobile App.
