Removing the NDExcess Columns from Payroll
Overview
The NDExcess columns were originally created to accommodate scenarios where employees rendered excess hours under each premium type.
Upon further review, we confirmed that these values are already accounted for by the existing overtime premium columns, such as:
- ORD-ND-OT (Ordinary Day Night Differential Overtime)
- RD-ND-OT (Rest Day Night Differential Overtime)
- Other corresponding Night Differential Overtime (ND-OT) premium columns
For the complete list of attendance abbreviations, please refer to Attendance Report (Definition of Abbreviations).
Request to Remove the NDExcess Columns
If your company no longer requires the NDExcess columns, you may submit a Change Request Form (CRF) requesting their removal.
When submitting your request, please include:
- Company Code (Payroll or DCPAY)
- A request to remove the NDExcess values/columns
Once the CRF is received:
- A separate implementation ticket will be created.
- The request will be reviewed by the appropriate team.
- You will be notified once the change has been completed.
After the change request has been implemented, some Overtime Rate options in your company setup may become unticked. An Administrator should re-enable the necessary overtime rates by following these steps:
- Navigate to Setup → Company → Profile.
- Locate the Overtime Rates section.

- Tick the overtime rate options that were unticked during the implementation.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Expected Result
Once the implementation is completed and the required overtime rates have been re-enabled:
- The NDExcess columns will no longer appear.
- Night Differential overtime will continue to be reflected using the standard premium columns (e.g., ORD-ND-OT, RD-ND-OT, etc.), ensuring no impact on the computation of excess Night Differential hours.
