Resolving“ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECT” error in Sprout HR
Overview
If users are redirected back to the login page after signing in to Sprout HR, the issue is commonly caused by browser session conflicts, cached data, or account synchronization delays.
This article provides the possible causes, troubleshooting steps, and the information required if the issue persists.

Symptoms
Users may experience one or more of the following:
- Successfully enter their credentials but are redirected back to the login page.
- Continuous login loop after clicking Sign In.
- Unable to access the HRHub dashboard despite using the correct username and password.
Possible Causes
The issue may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Corrupted or conflicting browser cookies or session data for the HRHub domain.
- Cached or outdated login session stored by the browser.
- Multiple or looping redirects between the login page and dashboard.
- Incorrect login URL or HTTP/HTTPS mismatch.
- Single Sign-On (SSO) or user provisioning has not yet fully synchronized for newly created accounts.
Resolution
Follow the troubleshooting steps below in order:
Step 1: Clear Browser Cache and Cookies
Clear your browser's cache and cookies, particularly for the HRHub domain:
- Are We Clear on Clear Cache? (Google Chrome)
- Are We Clear on Clear Cache? (Internet Explorer/Microsoft Edge)
After clearing the cache and cookies, completely close the browser and reopen it before attempting to log in again.
Step 2: Use an Incognito or Private Window
Open a new Incognito (Google Chrome) or Private (Microsoft Edge/Firefox) browsing window and log in again.
This helps determine whether the issue is related to cached browser data or stored sessions.
Step 3: Try a Different Browser or Device
If the issue persists, try accessing Sprout HR using another supported browser or a different device.

Step 4: Verify the Login URL
Ensure that you are accessing Sprout using the correct login page. If you forgot the Sprout HR Link, you may coordinate with your account’s administrator
Verify that the connection uses HTTPS and that there are no redirects to an outdated or incorrect URL.
Step 5: Disable Browser Extensions
Temporarily disable:
- Password managers
- Auto-fill extensions
- Security or privacy browser extensions
These extensions may interfere with the authentication process or automatically submit outdated credentials.
