Schedule Date-Tagging: Missing "Change Schedule" Button (Troubleshooting)

Overview

When setting up access levels in Sprout HR, an Admin or manager may have View and Edit permissions enabled for Work Schedule Info, but still be unable to see the Change Schedule button or modify employee work schedules.

This usually happens because a separate navigation-level permission required for managing schedules is turned off in their assigned Access Level.

Root Cause

Enabling Work Schedule Info permissions under profile details grants permission to view/edit schedule details on individual profiles. However, granting the actual ability to adjust or manage employee schedules requires enabling Manage Schedule under the Navigation > My Team menu settings.

How to Resolve

To resolve this issue, an authorized Account Administrator must update the affected Access Level permissions:

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Log in to Sprout HR as an Administrator.
  2. Go to MaintenanceAccess Levels.

  3. Select and edit the affected Access Level (e.g., Administrator or Manager).
  4. Navigate to NavigationMy Team.

  5. Locate Manage Schedule and check/enable the box.

  6. Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply the updates.

Verification

Once saved, have the affected user log out and log back in (or refresh their browser session). They should now be able to view and use the Change Schedule button under the employee work schedule section.

Note: If the issue persists after enabling Manage Schedule, ensure that Date Tagging of Work Schedule (if enabled for your account) is also configured properly for the designated access level, or contact experts@sprout.ph for further assistance.
