# Your IP has been blacklisted due to misuse of this API

Getting blacklisted from the API is an automated trigger that only occurs if you make more than 10 requests without a valid app token within one hour.

When that occurs, **the server automatically blacklists you for 24 hours** – the blacklist is temporary. After the 24 hour period the blacklisting will reset automatically and allow requests from your IP address once again.

To prevent this from happening in the future, simply make sure that you’re using a valid app token.
