How does Auto Half-day affects the Attendance Report in Sprout HR?

Manager.png

This is a discretional Attendance Policy that you can enable by sending us a CRF/ Change Request Form

Auto Half-Day is determined by the system based on the late/undertime minutes of the employee per day. Please take note that the system will tag the employee as Half-day automatically if they reach the mandated number of minutes Late/Undertime.

Yes! The tagging will capture the Late/Undertime of the employee as the default design of the system.

Kindly see the sample scenarios below:

SCENARIO 1: Late

Auto Half-Day Policy - 61 minutes

As you can see in the image above, since the employee reached the limit of allowable late, the system automatically tagged the employee as Half-Day.

SCENARIO 2: Undertime

Auto Half-Day Policy - 120 minutes

Please note that the sample Schedule above is under Flexible Per Day. So, as the rule of thumb, the employee MUST complete the full 9 Hours Shift.

Since she logged in by 10 AM she MUST log out not earlier than 7 PM. But, in the sample, the employee logged out by 5 PM which is why she was tagged as 120 minutes undertime.

Hence, she was tagged as Half-Day by the system.

But, if the employee does NOT reach the mandated maximum Late/Undertime minutes, they will ONLY be tagged as LATE.

Here:

Now, if you ONLY opt to determine the Auto Half-Day tagging of the employee based on their Late minutes, you can look into changing their Work Schedule under Supervisor Shift.

This is by setting the Supervisor Shift for Auto half-day to be separated for Late and Undertime. But, this does not mean that the employee will NOT be tagged as Auto Half-day if we separate the policy.

We will just be setting the minutes where is as if the Auto Halfday will ONLY be tagged under Late minutes of the employee.

Example:

Late Minutes: 120 minutes

Undertime Minutes: 400 minutes

Please note that this is just a workaround as currently Auto Halfday under Late Minutes ONLY is not being catered yet to by the system. Also, to enable this policy, you would need to send us a CRF. Kindly be reminded that this is being enabled per Employee Type.
