How Does the Deduct Break on ND Policy Work?

Employee.png

In the Attendance Report, we can enable a policy where the Break Schedule is being deducted during the Night Differential Hours. Let us discuss further how it shows in the report:

Sample Work Schedule: 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM

Scenarios:

Additional note:

This also works for ND hours during holidaysrest days, and holidays and rest days [RD-ND, LH-ND, SH-ND, SH-RD-ND, LH-RD-ND. DH-ND, DH-RD-ND]. If the Attendance Compute Type is Default Standard Compute Type, those that fall on rest days will be counted as Ord-ND only whereas if it set to Enhanced Standard Compute Type, those that fall on rest days will be counted as RD-ND. Here's an article for reference: Announcement: Changes in the Standard Compute Type

Note: Night Differential hours can be configured by submitting a Change Request Form but the default and standard ND hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Please note that date tagging applies when changing this policy. Changes will take effect moving forward.
