How to Make File Attachment Required for Certificate of Attendance (COA) and Overtime (OT)?

In Sprout, you can set certain requests—such as Certificate of Attendance and Overtime—to require supporting documents before they can be submitted or approved. This helps ensure that all requests are properly validated with the necessary attachments.

This type of setup is not done directly in the system settings. Any request to make file attachments required must be submitted through a Change Request.

You may include the following in your Change Request:

• Certificate of Attendance
• Overtime

Important note: Please note that the attachment requirement for leave applications can be configured in Sprout HR under Leave Plans and Policies. For your reference, you may refer to the corresponding KB article for the configuration steps. : Understanding Leave Policy Questions

1. Open the Change Request Form using the link above
2. Fill in the required details
3. Indicate that file attachment should be set as mandatory for the selected request types
4. Submit the form for review and processing
