Logs Completed, but Undertime Tagged? Here’s What Happened
It’s a common moment of confusion: you’ve checked your clock-in and clock-out timestamps, confirmed you were at your desk for the required hours, and yet, there it is, an Undertime tag staring back at you on your Attendance Report.
When your logs are complete, but the system still flags a deficit, it can feel like a glitch in the machine. However, in most HR platforms like Sprout, undertime tagging isn't just about whether you "logged in"; it’s about how those logs align with the plotted Work Schedule for that day matches the logs.

If you are seeing an undertime tagging in the attendance report, just like the sample image above, most likely the root cause is coming from the plotted Break Hours in the employee’s Work Schedule that are outside the Shift Schedule.
Please refer to the sample image below:

Below are your options to omit the undertime tagging in the employee’s attendance report:

OPTION 1: The employee may file a schedule adjustment to correct the Break Hours.

OPTION 2: Manager/Admin can add the Schedule Adjustment directly to the employee’s profile.

OPTION 3: This can be applied to either Manager/Admin/Employee check the Resolution Center if the date affected is tagged as Schedule Conflict. From there, you may resolve the undertim tagging by filing the Schedule Adjustment.
Then, for the future date, you will have to add a New Default Schedule, and please make sure that the Break Hours are correct and are within the employee’s Shift Schedule to avoid unnecessary undertime tagging in the employee's attendance.
