Mocked Location Tagging in Attendance Management using Sprout Mobile
When an employee uses a GPS spoofing or location mocking app to clock in or out via Sprout Mobile, the system detects the simulated location and flags it directly in the Attendance Management view.
The clock-in or clock-out is still recorded, but the attendance entry is tagged to indicate that a mocked location was used. This gives HR administrators and team managers full visibility into which records were submitted using a third-party GPS emulator, allowing them to review flagged entries and take appropriate action based on company policy.
Where to See It
The mocked location tag appears in the Attendance Management module. When an employee's clock-in or clock-out is detected as spoofed, the corresponding entry will be marked accordingly.
