What is the Payslip Agent?

Payslip Agent assists users with all payslip-related inquiries and transactions via chat, powered by Sprout Payroll.

  • Payslip breakdown: Provide detailed breakdowns of payslips, including earnings, deductions, and net pay.
  • Attendance logs: Retrieve attendance logs and time records for specific dates or payroll periods.

Why do I need the Payslip Agent?

Payslip Agent makes it easy to access all your payroll information in one place through chat. You can quickly view your employee details, check payslip records, see detailed breakdowns of your earnings and deductions, and get answers to salary or contribution-related questions—all in just a few clicks.


How does the Payslip Agent work?

Payslip Agent works by pulling your payroll information directly from Sprout Payroll and making it accessible through chat. Just type your request like viewing payslip history or checking a detailed breakdown, and it will provide the information instantly.


Who will have access to the Payslip Agent?

All Sprout HR clients (admin, manager, or employee) with SSO mode enabled will be able to access Payslip Agent. Logging in to Sprout HR or Mobile via SSO is required before accessing it. Your company should be using Sprout Payroll to view payslip information.


Can I use the Payslip Agent if I don’t have Sprout HR?

No, Payslip Agent only works if you have both Sprout HR and Payroll (full sync account). It won’t work if you are only on Sprout Payroll.


What are the limitations of the Payslip Agent?

Currently, Payslip Agent has a few limitations:

  • It can’t execute payroll tasks; it only lets you view payroll information from the approved payroll runs you belong to.
  • It only retrieves your own payroll information (e.g., your manager can’t request your salary details).
  • It works only if you have both Sprout HR and Sprout Payroll (full sync account).
  • When asking about absences, it only shows days with unresolved COA requests (resolved COAs won’t be marked as absent).
