What Are the Different Schedule Types?

On Sprout HR, we recognize the need for various types of work schedules for different kinds of jobs. As such, we put 4 different types of work schedules on the profile for you to choose from. Let's take a look at the steps on how to check your own work schedule on your profile.

  1. Hover the arrow on the upper right corner of the screen where you can find your account name. Click on the profile name.
 
2. Click on the Work Schedule tab and, your work schedule will now be displayed on the screen.

  • Normal Shift

- The most typical type of work schedule wherein an employee renders 9 hours of work and logs in and out on based on the scheduled shift of the day.Example for normal shift schedules are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM &10:00 AM-7:00 PM.

Note: For normal shifts, the number of hours must not exceed 24 hours or be lower than 2 hours.

 
  • Flexible Time per Day

- This type of schedule generally consists of the same number of  (9) hours in a day. The difference is that the details you need to input in "shift core from" is the latest time you can clock in the office and "shift core to" refers to the earliest time you can clock out from the office. Core hours refers to the fixed block of time which an employee is expected to be at work.

Note: For flexible per day, the number of hours must not exceed above 24 hours or lower than 1 hour.

 
  • Flexible Time per Week

- This schedule is almost the same as flexible time per day, the only difference is that this schedule does not cater overtimes. It computes the overall time per week and will only reflect undertime at the end of the week (specifically on a Saturday) if there are any.

- Employees using Flexible Time per Week will not appear in the Resolution Center.

Note: For flexible per week, the number of hours must not exceed 168 hours or be lower than 45 hours.

 
  • Exempted

- This type of work schedule means that an employee is free from the obligation of logging in and out of work at a specific time of the day. The system wouldn’t mind the missing logs of the employee.  A schedule like this usually applies to CEO’s, Director & President of a certain company.

- Employees using Exempted wouldn't appear in the Resolution Center

Note: For the exempted type of schedule, they should indicate a number of hours to work.
